FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Didn’t the TSSD just finish a pipe‑laying project?
Yes. The District recently completed a two‑mile pipe installation project that primarily crossed farmland, private property, and several local roads.

How is this project different?
This is a separate project involving a different pipe. The work on 1500 South is the rehabilitation of an existing pipe that has deteriorated and now requires repair.

What is this project all about?
A contractor will drain and clean the existing pipe in 1500 South, repair areas where corrosion has caused damage, and then install a pipe liner to extend the pipe’s service life.

How long will this take?
The project is expected to continue through the end of 2026.

Will the road be closed the entire time?
No. A short section of road near 50 East and 1500 South will be closed from June 22 through July 31. There will be no through traffic during this period. Businesses and properties in the closure area will maintain local access, but all other traffic must follow the detour route. After July 31, if work continues in this area, a temporary one‑way traffic signal may be installed to allow controlled through traffic.
